It's main objective is to produce a product that can be safely discharged into a watercourse or sewer in compliance with the recommended limits for discharge.Waste waters from food processing industries are characterized by moderate to high BOD, high COD, high dissolved and suspended solids, very high nutrient content such as phosphorous, nitrogen , heavy oil and grease, It is now widely used in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. MBR technology is currently widely employed in almost every sector of the food and beverage industry, and it is often recognised as the best treatment solution, particularly where water reuse is necessary.A wastewater treatment plant is a facility in which a combination of various processes (e.g., physical, chemical and biological) are used to treat industrial wastewater and remove pollutants, The incoming wastewater passes through screening equipment where objects such as rags, wood fragments, plastics, and grease are removed. The material removed is washed and pressed and disposed of in a landfill. The screened wastewater is then pumped to the next step: grit removal.
