The process of purifying water, and removing unwanted chemical compounds, organic and inorganic materials, and biological pollutants from water is known as water purification.Water purifiers serve a similar function as water filters, as both remove impurities. However, water purifiers go a step further by killing biological contaminants and removing minerals from water. This is done via two methods of purification: Reverse osmosis (RO).Filtration. Once the flocs have settled to the bottom of the water, the clear water on top is filtered to separate additional solids from the water. During filtration, the clear water passes through filters that have different pore sizes and are made of different materials (such as sand, gravel, and charcoal).Water purification is the collective name for a group of processes that make water more suitable for drinking, medical use, industrial use, and so on. A water purification process is designed to remove or reduce existing water contaminants to the point where the water is fit for use.
