The web guiding system is essentially an automatic control device that constantly corrects the position of the web based on the sensor measurement. The effectiveness of this control system is dependent on all the three main components of the guiding system.An actuator moves the web guide mechanism to guide the web at the appropriate location. A web edge sensor or a web position sensor detects the position of the web material. This measurement is used to determine and control the desired position of the material. The Controller is the brain of the web guiding system.
