Product Details
A wet scrubber is a type of air pollution control device that uses a scrubbing liquid, most commonly water, to remove pollutants from a gas stream. The polluted gas stream is forced into contact with the scrubbing liquid through a series of sprays, baffles, or packing media. As the gas and liquid come into contact, the pollutants are absorbed or adsorbed by the scrubbing liquid. The clean gas stream is then released to the atmosphere, and the scrubbing liquid is treated to remove the captured pollutants. Wet scrubbers are effective at removing a wide variety of pollutants, including particulate matter, acid gases, and some volatile organic compounds (VOCs). They are widely used in industrial applications such as power plants, chemical plants, and steel mills.
