PTFE rods, commonly known by the brand name Teflon, are solid cylindrical bars made from Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) – a high-performance, fluoropolymer plastic known for its exceptional chemical resistance, non-stick properties, and high thermal stability. ✅ Key Properties of PTFE Rods: Outstanding Chemical Resistance: Virtually inert to almost all chemicals, including acids, bases, and solvents. High Temperature Tolerance: Operates continuously from -200°C to +260°C without degrading. Low Friction: One of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid material (extremely "slippery"). Non-stick Surface: Resists adhesion from other materials – perfect for anti-friction and sealing applications. Electrical Insulation: Excellent dielectric properties even at high frequencies. Water & Moisture Resistance: Non-absorbent and hydrophobic.
