AQUAGUARD 1C is a prepackaged cementitious brush; roller orspray applied single component water proofing / damp proofingcoating. It is cement-based polymer modified system, requiringonly addition of water at site to produce a easy to apply slurry.This material exhibits excellent bond strength with reducedpermeability. AQUAGUARD 1C forms a breathableprotective coating. AQUAGUARD 1C protects concrete andmasonry surfaces from water ingress and dampness. It can beused in all types of structures, for existing and new concrete.AQUAGUARD 1C exhibits high Negative side Waterproofproperties apart from high wear resistance, weather resistanceand is suitable to be used as fair facing and damp proofingcompound before application of decorative paints.ADVANTAGES Polymer modification reduces permeability anddusting while increasing bond, tensile and flexuralstrength. Non-toxic, Breathable Coating Very Effective from Negative side applications as anunderlay. For interior or exterior use. Excellent wear resistance. DIY product for water proofing / damp proofing.ApplicationSurface Preparation: Concrete must be clean and rough. All oil,dirt, debris, paint and unsound concrete must be removed. Thesurface can be prepared mechanically using sandblasting, shotblasting or scarifier, which will give a slight surface profile. Thefinal step in cleaning should be complete removal of all residueswith a vacuum cleaner or by pressure washing.Prior to application, the surface should be pre-soaked withclean water, excess standing water should be removed.
