Turn the screw anti-clockwise to remove air. After air removal turn the screw clockwise to close the screw. Cushion : Cylinder cushion are often provided at both ends of the cylinder to slow down near the end of the stroke and prevent the piston from hammering against the end cap. Cushion Adjust Valve : Turn the screw clockwise for longer cushioning time and turn screw anti-clockwise for shorter cushion time. 1
