Multilayer coextrusion is a process in which two or more polymers are extruded and joined together in a feedblock or die to form a single structure with multiple layers.Coextruded multi-layer film is produced by a compound molding technique that simultaneously extrudes thermoplastic resin with multiple extruders and passes that through a single die to build up layers of melted resin both on the inside and outside of a film.Multilayer analysis is about examining the chemical composition and the build-up of layer systems and their interfaces to the surrounding material. Most of the layers considered in the multilayer analysis are inorganic multilayer systems (e.g. laser mirrors, bond pads or corrosion protection layers).Multiple layers allow you to have high capacities with smaller footprints which may be beneficial for smaller devices. Lightweight – Due to the layered configuration of these printed circuit boards, it eliminates the need for connectors for separate PCBs.
