Details:Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipments (MTCTE) The Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Rules, 2017, provides that every telecom equipment must undergo prior mandatory testing and certification. The detailed procedure for Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipments (MTCTE) under these rules has been notified. The testing is to be carried out by Indian Accredited Labs {which have been designated as CAB (Conformance Assessment Body) by TEC} and based upon their test reports, certificate shall be issued by TEC. Type Approval and Interface Approval Type Approval and Interface Approval of telecom products against Generic Requirements (GRs) and Interface Requirements (IRs) issued by TEC, will continue as earlier.
