Workers load galvanized steel or aluminum sheets at one end - the sheets move through pairs of rollers that bend them step by step until each sheet becomes a straight, uniform slat. The machine keeps the same shape for every slat and works fast enough for large orders. Key parts of a rolling shutter machine are a decoiler that stores and lets out the raw strip, a set of roll forming stations that bend the strip into the exact slat shape, a hydraulic or mechanical shear that cuts each slat to the set length plus a programmable panel that controls the run speed and the cut. The finished slats come off the line ready to bolt together - they are strong, fit tightly but also add security. Rolling-shutter machines come in three kinds - manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic. In the fully automatic kind, a digital system runs every motion - almost no one has to touch the work - the result is faster output plus shutters that all match the same size and finish.
