Two persons can sit facing each other and move the chakki handle together to ease the work. The processed atta falls off the lower stone into the bhir — a circular receptacle below the chakki, which is made of mud and coated with multani mitti (Fuller's earth).It helps to save a lot of time and to grind wheat finely or coarsely according to individual requirements. Packed flour contains preservatives and may not contain essential nutrients but with the help of grinding mills, you can grind fresh flour rich in nutrients and vitamins.
