Product Description
A flour mill may produce a single or multiple grades of finished flour from the milling of a given wheat or wheat mix. These finished flours are prepared by combining various flour streams that are produced at different stages of milling (Figure 5).Atta and Chakki machines are an easy way of making your grain flours at home. Buying the flour directly from the market can be an expensive affair.Milling is the process by which cereal grains are ground into flour. The milling of Wheat consists in the separation of bran and germ from the endosperm and reduction of endosperm to fine flour.Grain is fed in at the center of the running stone, and the turning of the stone shears the grain without crushing it. Centrifugal force carries the cut grain, called meal, through chiseled grooves in the bed stone to the rim of the millstones, where it collected in a vat and funneled down to the basement.
