Product Description
The conversion of pulses seed into Dal is done through the process of milling. A Dal mill should be located in rural or semi-urban area which have excess production of pulses and connected to market. The project deals with variety of dal such as Masoor Dal, Chana Dal, Urad Dal, etc. 2.The mill consists of a de-hulling unit, an aspirator and a dal separator, all run by a 1 HP single- phase motor. The de-husking unit is based on the principle of abrasion and consists of an emery-coated cone, which rotates inside a wire mesh cage.The removal of the outer husk and splitting the grain into two equal halves is known as milling of pulses. To facilitate dehusking and splitting of pulses alternate wetting and drying method is used.
