The 3M Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive DP460 NS is part of a class of "structural adhesives" and offers outstanding performance and durability in demanding conditions. Toughened Formula: This epoxy is toughened for high impact and fatigue resistance, making it suitable for applications where the bond must withstand stress, vibration, and environmental aging. Non-Sag Viscosity: The "NS" in the name indicates its non-sag formulation (a thick paste-like consistency), which ensures the adhesive stays in place and doesn't run or drip, making it ideal for vertical or overhead applications. Ample Work Life: With a generous 60-minute work life (open time), users have sufficient time to position and reposition parts accurately before the curing process results in handling strength in approximately four hours. Versatile Bonding: It forms strong, durable bonds with a wide variety of materials including metals (aluminum, steel), ceramics, glass, wood, and many high surface energy plastics (ABS, PVC, polycarbonate). Ease of Use: It is designed for use with the 3M EPX Plus II applicator system, which ensures accurate 2:1 metering and mixing of the two components for consistent results. Key Certifications: The product is recognized as meeting UL 94 HB standards for flame retardancy, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use
