The 3M Scotch 23 Rubber Splicing Tape in the 38 mm x 9.15 m size is a highly conformable, self-amalgamating Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) based tape designed for high-voltage electrical insulation and moisture sealing applications. Key Features & Specifications Self-Amalgamating: The tape is designed to fuse to itself when stretched and wrapped, creating a solid, void-free, and moisture-resistant insulation layer without the need for additional adhesives. High Voltage Insulation: It serves as primary electrical insulation for splicing cables ranging from 600V up to 69 kV on all solid dielectric cables. Material: The backing is Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) with a rubber-resin adhesive, offering excellent physical and electrical properties that are unaffected by the degree of stretch. Dimensions: Width: 38 mm (approx. 1.5 inches). Length: 9.15 m (30 ft). Thickness: 0.76 mm (30 mil). Temperature Rating: It is rated for continuous operation at up to 90°C (194°F) and can withstand emergency overload temperatures up to 130°C (266°F). Durability: The tape is highly resistant to splitting, cracking, and flagging when exposed to various indoor and outdoor environments. Dielectric Strength: It offers a high dielectric strength of approximately 800 V/mil. Easy Application: It features a special polyester liner that does not stick to the tape during unwinding, ensuring clean and efficient application
