Excellent cutting performance. Mainly used to cutting carbon steel, alloy steel stain less steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper etc., Cutting current can be adjusted continuously from 5 Amps to Max current, it can be satisfied with demands of different material and thickness and cutting speed.Plasma cutters work by sending an electric arc through a gas that is passing through a constricted opening. The gas can be shop air, nitrogen, argon, oxygen. etc. This elevates the temperature of the gas to the point that it enters a 4th state of matter.The basic principle is that the arc formed between the electrode and the workpiece is constricted by a fine bore, copper nozzle. This increases the temperature and velocity of the plasma emanating from the nozzle. The temperature of the plasma is in excess of 20 000°C and the velocity can approach the speed of sound.
