ALKYD Resin This is a Universal Type Resin Plant With Solvent Process system, suitable for manufacturing the following iteams: 1.Long oils Alkyd Resin oil, linseed Oil, Soyabean oil, D.C.O. Fatty acids etc. 2.Medium Oil Alkyd resin oil, Linseed Oil, Dehydrated Castor Oil, Soya Bean Oil & Fatty Acids etc. 3.Short oil Alkyd Resin Oil, Coconut Oil, castor Oil & Fatty Acids etc. Two types of oils are used a) Drying oils: such as Linseed Oil, Dehydrated Castor Oil (DCO), Soyabean Oil, Sunflower oil, Tung Oil (China wood oil)& Fatty Acids etc. b) Non –drying oils such as Coconut Oil, Castor Oil & fatty Acids etc. Solvents generally used are M.T.O.(Mineral Turpentine Oil),Vegetable oil, Turpentine Oil, Pine Oil, Xylene,Tolune, water, Butanol, Di-acetone alcohol, Dipentine MIBK etc. Anhydrides used are Phthalic Anhydride, Maleic Anhydride , Trimelthic Anhydride, benzoic Acid. Alcohol used are Glycerol, Pentaerythritol, sorbitol. Catalyst used are Dibutyltin Oxide . Antiyellowing& Antioxidants used are TPP(Tri Phenyl Phosphite). Modification: Modifires used are Estergum, Maleic Resin, Silicone, Urethane, Epoxy Ester, Phenolic Resin, Butylated urea Formaldehyde Resin and Butyleted melamine Formaldehyde Resin, coumarone –Indene Resin, Styrene , CNSL(Cashew nut shell liquid-Formaldehyde) Resin etc. Driers used are Cobalt Napthalate, Cobalt Octate, Manganese Napthalate & octoate, Lead Napthalate and Octoate , Calcium Napthalate and Octoate etc. Xylene Used as solvent process water of reaction entrainer. Processing time- 16-20 hours and Processing temperature.- 2500—2800C. Main uses are Paints, Synthetic enamel paints both air drying and storing.
