An Automatic Mains Failure (AMF) Panel is an essential electrical control panel designed to automatically switch the power supply from the main grid to a backup generator in case of a power failure. It ensures uninterrupted power supply to critical applications by detecting power outages and immediately activating the standby generator. AMF panels are widely used in industries, hospitals, commercial buildings, and data centers where continuous power is crucial. Working Principle The AMF panel constantly monitors the incoming mains power supply. When a power failure or voltage fluctuation is detected, the panel sends a signal to start the backup generator. Once the generator reaches stable operating conditions, the AMF panel transfers the load from the mains to the generator. When the mains power is restored, the panel automatically switches back to the primary supply and shuts down the generator.
