Product Details
ASCOFILL is a specially modied single component, high strength, non-shrink crack lling powder for repairing of plaster, concrete cracks. § Recommended for crack repairs to all masonry, concrete, stucco cement rendering or other exterior surfaces. § It can also be used for repairing brickwork, corners and surfaces. § For lling small holes, imperfections and suitably primed cracks. Appearance : Powder Color : White 3 Density (Wet) : 1680 kg/m Compressive Strength : 20 – 23 N/mm² Setting Time : 20 – 25 Min TECHNICAL PROPERTIES SURFACE PREPARATION All surfaces must be clean and structurally sound. Oil and grease must be removed. Remove enamel paint in poor condition with all-purpose paint remover. Open cracks sufciently, to allow the ller to be pressed into position. MIXING Sprinkle 1 Kg ASCOFILL slowly into 0.35 L of clean water, stirring constantly until a smooth paste like consistency is achieved. APPLICATION I Open the cracks in form a "V" groove with saw cut or chiseled. The grooves should be cleaned with blower. Cracks and holes should be sprinkled with clean water before applying ASCOFILL. II Fill the cracks and holes using a scraper or putty knife. III Apply to a depth, not exceeding 6 mm. For deeper cracks, holes, apply in 6 mm layers after each layer has been allowed to dry. IV Even out the crack ller level with the surrounding surface. V Allow to dry for at least 4 hours (drying times may be longer in cold or wet weather) before sanding, drilling or painting. Apply an ASCOFLEX II as undercoat before painting. CURING Curing is essential for all cementitious products to prevent possible shrinkage cracks and ensure, the performance characteristics of the product are achieved
