The stones and foreign matter are removed and the pulse is graded in 2-3 different size grades through sieves. It is soaked in water for 60-90 minutes and heaped for uniform moisture absorption and dried in the sun for 2-3 days till fully dried. It is fed into mini dal mill at 90-100 rpm.
