An injection machine (also spelled as injection moulding machine in ), also known as an injection press, is a machine for manufacturing plastic products by the injection process. It consists of two main parts, an injection unit and a clamping unit. Injection moulding is a manufacturing process that allows for parts to be produced in large volumes. It works by injecting molten materials into a mould (or '' in the United States). It is typically used as a mass production process to manufacture thousands of identical items. Automation can be utilized right at the machine where you can retain control over parts through post-operations and even into final packaging.
