100 percent polyester spun grey and white yarn are covered under IS 17265:2022. The Bureau of Indian Standards adopted this Indian Standard after the Textile Division Council approved the draft finalized by the Man-Made Fibres, Cotton, and Their Products Sectional Committee. Polyester spun yarns are produced by ring spinning, open-end spinning, or airjet/vortex spinning 100% polyester staple (cut) fibres. This standard defines the requirements for all types of 100% polyester spun single, double, and multifold yarns made from virgin polyester fibres. It is mandatory to have ISI Mark on the products to sell in the Indian Market and avoid the penalty as per the government norms.
