IS 8058:2018 covers Pyridine. This standard specifies the requirements and sampling and test method for pyridine. Pyridine is used as a solvent in the dyestuff and pharmaceutical industries and a laboratory reagent. It is also used in the production of drug intermediates. MINISTRY OF CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS (Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals) has notified Quality Control Order for the mandatory certification for Pyridine.
