Key Features of Block Linear Guides: Structure and Components: Rail: The linear guide consists of a rail (also called a track) along which the block moves. The rail is mounted to a machine or structure. Block: The block (or carriage) is the component that moves along the rail. It contains rolling elements such as balls or rollers that provide low friction and smooth motion. Rolling Elements: The rolling elements, typically ball bearings or rollers, are located between the rail and the block. These elements reduce friction and allow the block to glide along the rail with minimal resistance. Types of Linear Guides: Ball Type Linear Guide: This is the most common type, where ball bearings are used as rolling elements. The balls move in raceways within the rail and block, providing smooth movement with low friction. Roller Type Linear Guide: Instead of balls, rollers are used as rolling elements. Roller type guides are used for higher load capacities and offer even smoother and more stable motion under heavy loads. Crossed Roller Linear Guide: This type uses crossed rollers arranged in an "X" pattern.
