Pouches are flexible, lightweight bags that offer many advantages over traditional packaging such as metal cans or glass bottles. Pouch filling machines are usually of two types: vertical form fill seal (VFFS) and horizontal form fill seal (HFFS), with VFFS being the more preferred technology.Instead of forming bags from a roll of flat packaging material, this machine is loaded with bags that are already formed into their end shape (premade pouches). The bags are then fed into the machine where they are opened, filled with product, and sealed shut, Otherwise known as pouch filling or pouch packing machines, this packaging equipment type fills premade pouches with product and then seals them shut. Pouch fill and seal machines come in two main varieties: Rotary and inline.Those two machines are synced electronically, so that as soon as the bag is ready, the product is dropped in automatically. Once the product has dropped into the bag, the top is sealed. The sealing jaws press the 2 parts of the overlapping material and weld them, often with heating, to create a side or centre seal.Packaging machines are used to package products or components. This product area includes equipment that forms, fills, seals, wraps, cleans, and packages at different levels of automation. Packaging machines also include related machinery for sorting, counting, and accumulating. There are many different package types.Pouch packaging is a flexible type of packaging, and this lack of rigidity affords numerous benefits. Among others, the benefits include less storage space, reduced shipping costs, and more product for less space. Loose products can be easily contained in pouches but shape and ability to stand up is retained.
