It is engineered to meet the stringent requirements of the IEC 60529 and IS 13947 standards for IPX1 and IPX2 ratings, making it an essential tool for manufacturers and test labs. This apparatus is used to test products such as: Electrical enclosures Lighting fixtures Electronic devices for indoor use Home appliances Key Features and Specifications 1. IPX1 Test (Vertical Dripping Water) This test simulates a product's exposure to vertically falling drops of water. Drip Area: The apparatus features a drip area with a specified surface area of up to 1000 x 1000 mm. Nozzles: Precisely calibrated nozzles ensure water drops fall at a rate of 1 mm per minute. Test Duration: The standard test duration is 10 minutes. 2. IPX2 Test (Dripping Water at 15° Tilt) This test is a more rigorous version of IPX1, designed for products that may be tilted or move during use. Tilt Mechanism: The apparatus includes a motorized turntable or a tilting platform that allows the test specimen to be tilted at a 15° angle in four different positions (every 90°). Water Rate: The water dropping rate remains at 3-5 mm per minute for this test. Test Duration: The test is conducted for 2.5 minutes in each of the four positions, for a total duration of 10 minutes. 3. General Features Construction: The apparatus is built with a sturdy frame made of SUS 304 stainless steel or a corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy. Water Recirculation: A built-in water tank and pump system recirculate the water, saving resources and ensuring a constant supply for testing. User Interface: A user-friendly HMI touchscreen allows for easy control of test parameters, including duration, water flow, and turntable rotation. Safety: The unit includes safety features like an emergency stop button, an integrated circuit breaker, and a water level alarm.
