A paver (road paver finisher, asphalt finisher, road paving machine) is a piece of construction equipment used to lay asphalt concrete or Portland cement concrete on roads, bridges, parking lots and other such places. It lays the material flat and provides minor compaction.asphalt, black or brown petroleum-like material that has a consistency varying from viscous liquid to glassy solid. It is obtained either as a residue from the distillation of petroleum or from natural deposits. Asphalt consists of compounds of hydrogen and carbon with minor proportions of nitrogen, sulfur, and oxygen.Pavers are generally self-propelled machines responsible for evenly spreading asphalt on the newly levelled and cleaned surface. Asphalt is loaded into the front of a paver and slowly spread out the back of the machine. A screed works to level the material on the ground as it is spread.
