The principle of a conveyor dryer is simple: Feed is placed on a perforated belt and hot gas is passed through the belt and feed. This principle remains the same as the technology develops. The feed is metered on the belt to create a bed, the formation of which is fundamental to the efficiency of the drying process.Conveyor drying uses a perforated belt to transfer feed materials through the dryer. Heated air is either passed under and through, or over and through the belt and product bed before being reheated and re-circulated. Units are normally multi zoned and may have differing airflow's in successive zones.A screw conveyor is one of the most versatile and cost-effective mechanical conveyors for handling dry bulk solid biomass. The conveyor provides enclosed transfer while moving materials-horizontally, vertically, or at an incline and can deliver materials from one or more inlet points to one or more outlet points.The main type of material that we use for these styles of dryer belts is a PTFE coated open mesh.Pneumatic dryers are basically pneumatic conveyors, in which the conveying air simultaneously serves to dry the transported solid.
