Copperbond Earth Rods provide high tensile strength using low carbon steel with molecularly bonded 99.9% pure electrolytic copper and thus can be easily driven into the ground with a driving rod hammer without needing to dig a large trench. They are designed to be extendable.Proudly made in the USA, HWC carries copper clad ground rods which have a heavy, uniform coating of copper metallurgically bonded to a rigid steel core for optimum performance. Where needed, the copper ground rods are color-coded based on specified sizes.The function of earth electrode is to dissipate fault currents to the general mass of earth. Solid Copper Earth rods are used in protective earthing of commercial and industrial buildings by dispersing the lightning flashes and fault currents of distribution to the earth.
