- Solvent Extraction: The powder is subjected to solvent extraction using ethanol, methanol, or acetone to extract curcuminoids.
- Filtration & Concentration: The solvent-extract mixture is filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain a thick paste or oleoresin.
- Separation & Purification: Curcumin (yellow pigment and main bioactive) is separated using chromatographic or crystallization techniques for high-purity curcumin extracts.
- Drying (Optional): The final extract can be spray-dried or freeze-dried to obtain turmeric extract in powdered form.
