Pasteurization is a process by which milk is heated to a specific temperature for a set period of time to kills harmful bacteria that can lead to diseases like as listeriosis, typhoid fever, tuberculosis, diphtheria and brucellosis.Pasteurization is now defined as the process of heating every particle of milk or milk product in properly designed and operated equipment to any of the one specified pasteurization time–temperature combinations (Food and Drug Administration, 2011), most commonly 72°C for 15s, and is effective in destroying human.Pasteurisation is the process developed by Louis Pasteur, especially to store milk. In pasteurisation, milk is first heated to about 70 degrees Celsius for 15 to 30 seconds. Then it is suddenly chilled and stored. This prevents the growth of microbes.
