A twin needle (also called a double needle) is basically two needles attached to a single shank. One is slightly shorter than the other so your bobbin can catch the thread from both needles. So clever that bobbin! Twin needles come in a variety of sizes just like regular needles.A double needle lock stitch machine works on the same principle as the single needle machine by using two needles and two bobbins thus resulting in two parallel rows of lock stitch. This technique of twin needle sewing is also popularly known as double needle sewing.In a picot edge stitch, fabric at the edge is folded by the rolled hem foot and the zig zag stitch encloses the fold in thread with small ridges. Step 2. Keep the fabric right side down on the machine to the left of the feet. Start sewing with a straight stitch.
