The DUNGS DMV-DLE 520/11 is a high-capacity dual modular safety shut-off valve commonly used in large industrial and commercial gas trains. It combines two normally closed solenoid valves into one compact housing, which simplifies installation by replacing two individual valves. 1. Key Operational Features Valve 1 (V1): Fast-opening and fast-closing ($< 1$ s). It is designed to act as the primary safety shut-off. Valve 2 (V2): Slow-opening (approx. 20 s) and fast-closing. The slow-opening feature allows for a "soft start," preventing pressure surges during burner ignition. Adjustable Fast Stroke: Despite being slow-opening, you can adjust a "fast stroke" section on V2. This allows the valve to jump quickly to a set initial gas volume (start gas) before continuing its slow opening to full capacity. Main Volume Adjustment: The maximum gas flow can be manually limited (throttled) using the adjustment on top of the valve. 2. Setup & Adjustments The DMV-DLE 520 is highly customizable for specific burner requirements. Adjusting the Fast Stroke: Unscrew the small adjustment cap from the top of the hydraulic brake on V2. Invert the cap and use it as a tool to turn the internal screw. Turning Clockwise: Decreases the fast stroke (less initial gas). Turning Anti-clockwise: Increases the fast stroke (more initial gas). Main Volume (Flow) Adjustment: Use the large adjustment screw (usually located on the side or bottom of V1, depending on the specific sub-model) to limit the total gas flow to the burner. 4. Common Accessories Flanges: The valve body is "flangeless." You must purchase the appropriate Rp or NPT threaded flanges to connect it to your pipework. VPS 504: A Valve Proving System that can be mounted directly to the side of the DMV to automatically check for internal leaks between cycles. K01/1 Switch: A "Proof of Closure" (POC) switch that provides an electrical signal to the burner controller confirming the valve is physically closed.
