The DUNGS MVDLE 207/5 is a single-stage, normally closed, automatic shut-off valve designed for industrial and commercial gas burners. The "LE" designation stands for Slow Opening and Adjustable Fast Stroke, which is crucial for systems requiring a "soft start" to prevent pressure surges during ignition. This ensures the burner ignites reliably without a massive "puff" of gas. Slow Opening: The hydraulic brake allows for a gradual increase in gas flow, typically taking up to 20 seconds to reach full capacity. Main Volume (Flow) Adjustment: On top of the valve, you can limit the maximum flow rate by turning the adjustment knob under the protective cap. Clockwise (-): Decreases the gas flow. Counter-clockwise (+): Increases the gas flow. Installation & Wiring Mounting Position: The valve should be mounted with the solenoid coil vertically upright or up to 90° horizontal. It should never be mounted upside down. Electrical Connection: Most models use a standard 3-pin DIN plug (Type GDME) for easy replacement and maintenance. Gas Flow Direction: Always ensure the arrow on the valve body points in the direction of the gas flow. Maintenance Checklist Internal Sieve: The 207/5 contains an internal 1mm mesh sieve. If you experience a drop in gas pressure at the burner, this sieve should be checked for debris or pipe scale. Replacement Coil: If the valve fails to open, the coil (typically Type 200) can be replaced without removing the valve from the gas line. Hydraulic Brake: If the valve opens instantly without the "slow" behavior, the hydraulic brake unit on top may have failed and requires replacement.
