The DUNGS MVD series (and its variants MVDLE) are single-stage, normally closed, automatic shut-off valves. Unlike the "MultiBloc" (which contains a regulator and filter), the MVD is a dedicated safety valve used in industrial gas trains. 1. MVD Series Model Variants The suffix after "MVD" determines the opening behavior and flow control: MVD: Fast-opening ($<1$ s), Fast-closing ($<1$ s). Basic on/off safety valve. MVD.../5: Includes a manual Main Volume Restrictor (Throttle) to set maximum flow. MVDLE: Slow-opening (approx. 20 s) with an adjustable Fast Stroke. Used for soft-start ignition. MVDLE.../5: The most common version. Slow-opening + Fast stroke + Main volume throttle. 2. Key Functional Features Fast Stroke (LE Models Only): An internal adjustment allows the valve to "snap" open a few millimeters instantly to provide ignition gas before the slow-opening ramp begins. Main Volume Adjustment: On the "/5" models, the large knob on top of the solenoid allows you to limit the total gas flow manually. Closed Position Indicator: Many MVD valves can be fitted with a K01/1 switch to provide a "Proof of Closure" (POC) signal to the burner management system. Integrated Sieve: Includes a 1 mm mesh sieve to protect the valve seat from debris. 5. Technical Data (Standard) Closing Time: $< 1$ second. Voltage: 230V AC (Standard), 110V-120V AC, 24V-28V DC. Protection Rating: IP54 (Dust and splash-proof). Ambient Temp: -15 °C to +60 °C. Mounting: Solenoid must be vertically upright to 90° horizontal. Never upside down. 6. Common Spare Parts Replacement Coils: Coils are replaceable without breaking the gas line. For example, Magnet Type 200 (for 207/210) or Magnet Type 300 (for 215/220). Hydraulic Brake: For MVDLE models, the hydraulic unit on top can be replaced if the valve loses its "slow-opening" function.
