The DUNGS MVDLE 220/5 is a single-stage, normally closed, automatic safety shut-off valve. It is one of the larger threaded valves in the MVD series, designed for high-capacity industrial gas burners. Like other "LE" models, it is slow-opening (to provide a smooth "soft start") and has an adjustable fast stroke (to provide immediate ignition gas). 1. Functional Adjustments The MVDLE 220/5 features three distinct mechanical adjustments located on top of the valve head: Main Volume Adjustment (Flow): Located at the very top. This limits the total amount of gas that can pass through the valve when it is fully open. To decrease flow: Turn the adjustment knob clockwise. Slow Opening Ramp: The internal hydraulic brake controls how long the valve takes to reach full open (up to 20s). This prevents pressure "shocks" in the gas line. Fast Stroke (Initial Lift): This allows the valve to snap open a few millimeters instantly before the slow ramp takes over. Adjustment: Remove the small black cap on top, flip it over, and use it to turn the internal screw. Clockwise: Decreases the fast stroke. Counter-clockwise: Increases the fast stroke. 3. Key Differences: MVDLE 220 vs. 207/210 Pressure Rating: Because the 220 is a larger valve (2"), its maximum inlet pressure is 200 mbar, whereas the smaller 207 and 210 models are rated for 360 mbar. Coil Size: The 220 uses a significantly larger and more powerful solenoid coil (Magnet Type 300) to lift the heavier internal valve disc. 4. Installation & Accessories Mounting: The solenoid must be mounted vertically upright or at a maximum angle of 90° (horizontal). It must never be installed upside down. Sieve: It contains an integrated 1mm mesh sieve at the inlet to protect the valve seat. Closed Position Indicator: The "/5" suffix means it is prepared for the K01/1 switch, which provides a "Proof of Closure" (POC) signal to the burner controller. Valve Proving: It can be used with a VPS 504 leak-testing system if mounted in a double-valve string. 5. Spare Parts Replacement Coil (230V): Magnet Type 300 (Part No. 215161).
