An axial flow fan is a type of industrial fan used to cool machines and equipment which heat up after use. Axial flow fans are the type of compressor, which produces airflow parallel to the axis, thus the name.Axial flow fans have blades that force air to move parallel to the shaft about which the blades rotate. Axial flow fans blow air along the axis of the fan, linearly. These fans produce air flow at low pressure with high air volume. They are used to supply fresh air, to suck air from return air trenches, to suck air from rotary filters, to exhaust air out etc.Vane-axial fans tend to be the most efficient fans available for HVAC air-handling units—with efficiencies reaching up to 85%—largely because the direction of the airflow is little changed as it passes through the fan.
