The slitter starts by unwinding a master or mill roll, then slits the unwound material into various widths.A slitter machine (commonly referred to as a slitter rewinder) is a special type of equipment used to convert / slit many different materials so they can be cut down into narrower rolls. To put things simply, the main role of a slitting machine is to convert (slit) papers, film and foil materials so that large rolls of these materials can be cut into narrower rolls.
