Machine Overview
AScrew Conveyoris a mechanical conveying system used for transporting powders, granules, semi-solid materials, and bulk solids from one point to another using a rotating screw (auger) inside a tubular or U-shaped trough.
Construction Details
Main Components
Screw / Auger:Helical blade mounted on a shaft that moves material forward
Conveyor Housing:Tubular pipe or U-trough enclosing the screw
Drive Unit:Motor with gearbox for rotation
Inlet Hopper:Feeding point for material loading
Discharge Outlet:Point where material is discharged
End Bearings:Supports the rotating shaft
Couplings & Seals:Prevent leakage and ensure smooth operation

Working Principle
The motor rotates the screw inside the housing.
As the screw rotates, material placed at the inlet is pushed forward along the screw flights and discharged at the outlet. The conveyor can handle continuous material flow.
