Air Cooled Heat Exchanger (ACHE) is a heat rejection equipment where the excess process heat is rejected to the atmosphere. It works on the principle of convection and conduction to dissipate heat from process fluid to air.Air cooled heat exchangers (ACHE) -part of the broader heat exchanger family – are made of finned tubes. Within these tubes, various types of fluids are cooled or condensed. Outside of the tubes, air flows around the fins to remove heat.In industrial situations, air to air heat exchangers are used in the process of waste heat recovery. The waste heat given off as a result of manufacturing or chemical processes can be redirected to use to heat incoming air to maintain a comfortable interior temperature.
