Key Features of Industrial Pancake Type Tension Load Cells: Design: Shape: As the name suggests, the pancake type load cell has a flat, disc-like shape. This design allows for a low profile and increased stability under tension forces. Material: Typically made from high-strength steel or aluminum for durability, corrosion resistance, and the ability to withstand harsh industrial environments. Tension Focused: These load cells are primarily designed to measure tension (pulling forces) and are often used in applications where the load is applied in the form of a pulling force, as opposed to compression (pushing). Working Principle: Like other load cells, the pancake type tension load cell works by using strain gauges attached to the sensing element. When a tension force is applied, the load cell deforms slightly. The strain gauges on the load cell detect the deformation and convert it into an electrical signal. This signal can then be processed to determine the exact amount of force applied.
