Control valve spools are neutral, High negacon pressure comes up to pilot piston. The pilot piston makes spool move to decrease oil flow. When move spools, Low negacon pressure comes up to pilot piston.Air and water contamination are the leading causes of hydraulic failure, accounting for 80 to 90% of hydraulic failures. Faulty pumps, system breaches or temperature issues often cause both types of contamination.The most common is improper lubrication when the incorrect lubricant is used or not enough is applied. Bearings also fail in extreme temperatures. Another cause of failure is bearing overload, e.g., a pump cavitating from lacking the proper flow will increase pressure on the impeller's front.A pump operating at 70% or less of a duty cycle that spins at 1200 rpm using clean oil is likely to last over 20,000 hours. However, under a 90% load with 1800 rpm and a special purpose oil, that lifespan is reduced to around 10,000 hours.
