Product Details
A laser welding nozzle is an essential component fitted at the end of a laser welding head or gun that directs shielding gas and helps shape and protect the weld zone during laser welding operations. Its primary job is to control and guide the flow of auxiliary gas (such as argon or nitrogen) so that it uniformly protects the molten weld pool from oxidation and contamination, which is crucial for achieving strong, clean welds. At the same time, the nozzle helps prevent welding spatter and debris from reaching and contaminating the focusing optics inside the laser head, extending the service life of expensive lenses and internal parts. The design and geometry of a welding nozzle (e.g., single‑hole, double‑hole, coaxial) influence how gas is delivered around the weld and can be chosen based on the specific welding task, material thickness, and filler wire usage. Nozzles are typically made from heat‑resistant, high‑conductivity metals such as copper or brass, and may come in different diameters and shapes to match various laser heads and welding requirements.
