Hydraulic pumps convert electrical energy into fluid pressure by using an electric motor to drive the pump. They are necessary for all hydraulic drives. The fluid pressure is then delivered by hydraulic fluid to cylinders and actuators and hydraulic motors at the required pressure level and volume.The basic principle of operation of centrifugal pumps is – force vortex flow. This means, when a body of liquid is acted upon by an external torque, it increases the pressure head of the rotating liquid. This increase in pressure is directly proportional to the velocity of the liquid.These plumbing applications mainly include different impellers such as closed type pumps, convection pumps, vortex pumps, multistage pumps, single channel pumps, cutting pumps or grinder pumps. For different applications, a wide range of options are available, including high flow, low flow, low head or high head.
