The L&T (Lauritz Knudsen) Box Capacitor is a high-performance component primarily used for Power Factor Correction (PFC) in Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems. It reduces reactive power, improving energy efficiency, and lowering electricity bills by minimizing system losses. Constructed in a sturdy box-type enclosure for durability, these capacitors typically employ Metalized Polypropylene (MPP) film technology, making them self-healing (can recover from minor dielectric breakdowns). They are available in various ratings (kVAr) and duty types (Standard, Heavy, Ultra Heavy), with features like an Over Pressure Disconnector for safety.
