Galaxy FD-S Model Lyophilizer (Freeze Dryer) – Compact Bench-Top Unit for Efficient Laboratory Drying The Galaxy FD-S Model Lyophilizer is a high-performance bench-top freeze dryer designed to meet the precision drying needs of research and industrial laboratories. With a compact footprint and robust construction, this space-saving unit is perfect for labs requiring high-efficiency sample preservation without compromising on functionality. The FD-S model features a standard drying chamber with a total drying area of 0.12 m² and four durable material trays. It operates with a powerful vacuum system reaching ≤5 Pa and achieves ultra-low cold trap temperatures of ≤ -60°C. Capable of capturing 3–4 liters of water in 24 hours, it ensures optimal moisture removal from sensitive biological and chemical samples. A user-friendly touchscreen interface displays real-time data, including vacuum levels, sample and condenser temperatures, and total runtime. The intuitive controls are designed for easy operation, while intelligent data logging allows users to export records via USB in Excel format—ideal for audits and analysis. Constructed with a transparent acrylic chamber for clear visibility, the unit is corrosion-resistant and leak-proof. The FD-S also includes electric defrosting and air cooling for minimal downtime between batches. With a freeze-drying capacity of up to 2.4 liters and a drying time of around 36 hours, the FD-S is the ideal choice for routine freeze-drying of biological specimens, pharmaceuticals, and sensitive materials.
