Madas FRG/2MC Gas Pressure Regulator

Product Details

Energy Combustion, Importer and suppliers of Madas products in India. Madas provides a comprehensive range of gas pressure regulators, broadly categorized into the RG (Regulator only) and FRG (Filter-Regulator) series. These are used globally for natural gas, LPG, and non-corrosive dry gases. 1. General Technical Specifications All models in the FRG series are designed for non-aggressive dry gases (Natural Gas, LPG, Nitrogen, Air). Filter Element: Built-in 50 micron synthetic fiber (washable). Ambient Temperature (T_S):-15°C to+60°C. Mechanical Strength: Group 2 (according to EN 13611). Accuracy Class (AC): Typically AC 10 or AC 15. Lock-up Pressure Class (SG): Up to +30% of the set point. Materials: Die-cast aluminum body; NBR rubber diaphragms; Stainless steel springs. 2. Specific Model Comparison The "FRG" name is followed by a suffix that defines its pressure rating and safety mechanisms.   Model Max Inlet (P1) Safety Features Nominal Sizes (DN) FRG/2MT 500 mbar Standard Regulator + Filter 15, 20, 25 FRG/2M 500mbar Safety Membrane + Compensated 15 to 100 FRG/2MC 1to 2 bar Compensated Obturator 15 to 100 FRG/2MB 0.5 to 5 bar OPSO (Overpressure Shut-off) 15 to 100 FRG/2MBC 0.5 to 5 bar Compact model (Max 25 m3\/h 15, 20, 25 FRG/2MBL 500 mbar OPSO + UPSO + Relief 15 to 100 3. Integrated Safety Devices If your model includes safety shut-offs, they operate as follows: OPSO (Overpressure): Shuts off the gas if the downstream pressure rises above the set safety limit (e.g., due to debris in the seat). Manual reset required. UPSO (Underpressure): Shuts off if the pressure drops below a minimum (e.g., a broken pipe or supply failure). Safety Membrane: An additional internal diaphragm that prevents gas leakage to the atmosphere if the working diaphragm ruptures (no vent line required for small sizes). 4. Connection & Installation Data Threaded: Rp (ISO 7-1) from 1/2" (DN 15) to 2" (DN 50). Flanged: PN 16 (ISO 7005) from DN 25 to DN 100. Flow Direction: Follow the arrow cast into the aluminum body. Mounting Position: Horizontal is preferred (spring tower facing up). If installed vertically, the outlet pressure may vary by a few millibars from the spring's rated value. 5. Identification (The "Silver Plate") To find the exact capabilities of your unit, locate the metal tag on the body: Model Code: e.g., FRG/2MB DN25. P1: The maximum allowable inlet pressure (e.g., 5bar). P2: The adjustment range (determined by the spring color). Year: The manufacture date (e.g., 2026).
