Madas gas pressure switches are primarily represented by the PSM series. These are compact diaphragm pressure switches used to monitor gas or air pressure and trigger an electrical circuit (making or breaking contact) when pressure crosses a set point. They are widely used in gas trains, industrial burners, and boiler systems for safety interlocks. 1. Madas PSM Series Models The model number indicates the maximum end of the adjustable pressure range in mbar. Model Setting Range (mbar) Max Operating Pressure PSM003 1 to 3 mbar 500 mbar PSM010 2 to 10 mbar 500 mbar PSM050 5 to 50 mbar 500 mbar PSM150 5 to 150 mbar 500 mbar PSM500 100 to 500 mbar 690 mbar 2. Technical Specifications Media: Natural Gas, LPG (non-aggressive dry gases), and Air. Electrical Rating: * Voltage: 24V to 250V AC / 24V to 48VDC. Current: Max 6 A (resistive) / 2 A (inductive). Protection Class: IP54 (Standard protection against dust and water splashes). Connection: Standard G 1/4" female central thread (Side connections available on request). Ambient Temperature: -15°C to +60°C (Some industrial variants rated to -20°C Housing Material: Die-cast Aluminum base with a robust plastic (Polyamide) cover. Diaphragm: NBR rubber. Reset Type: Automatic reset (the switch resets itself when pressure returns to normal). 3. Key Features Integrated Test Nipple: Many PSM models come with a 9 mm test point for easy pressure measurement without disconnecting the switch. Visible Dial: The set point is adjusted via a hand-wheel under the cover, with an easy-to-read scale. Compact Design: Designed specifically for tight installations in gas valve blocks (Multiblocs) or burner manifolds. Certifications: CE approved according to EN 1854 (European standard for pressure sensing devices for gas burners). 4. Wiring & Installation The switch uses a standard 3-pin DIN connector (EN 175 301-803). Pin 1 (COM): Common Pin 2 (NC): Normally Closed (opens on pressure rise) Pin 3 (NO): Normally Open (closes on pressure rise)
