Main Types of Madas Solenoid Valves Madas categorizes their valves primarily by their operation (Automatic vs. Manual Reset) and their resting state (Normally Closed vs. Normally Open). Type Model Series (Common) Function Automatic (NC) EVP, EVPC, EVPCF Opens when powered, closes automatically when power is cut. Used for frequent on/off control. Manual Reset (NC) M16/RM N.C. Stays closed even after power returns; requires a human to pull a knob to reset. Used as a primary safety shut-off. Manual Reset (NO) M16/RM N.A. Remains open during normal operation. Closed Position Indicator (CPI): An optional microswitch that sends a signal to a control panel confirming the valve is physically closed.
