The EVP/NC Madas gas solenoid valve is an automatic normally-closed solenoid valve designed for gas interception. It opens the flow of gas when electrically powered and closes the flow when power is disconnected. These valves comply with standard EN 161 and relevant EU directives including the Gas Directive, ATEX Directive, and Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive. Key features include: Automatic reset operation Available in various sizes and connection types (screwed and flanged) Maximum operating pressure typically 200 mbar or 360 mbar depending on the size Suitable for natural gas, propane, butane, and optionally biogas Optionally equipped with closed position indicator switches and adjustable speed opening Installation requires correct orientation with the actuator in the "up-position" Available voltages: 24V AC/DC, 110V AC, 230V AC Sizes range from 1/2" to 12" diameter with multiple connection options, including Rp female screwed and flanged PN16 types. They can also have features like flow rate adjustment and slow opening adjustments depending on the version. These valves are widely used for gas safety and control in industrial and commercial applications where automatic gas shut-off is required.
